14 Bible Verses on the Love of Christ for Valentine's Day

February 03, 2022
14 Bible Verses on the Love of Christ for Valentine's Day

Just in time for Valentine's Day I wanted to share 14 bible verses to help you focus on the love of Christ. I know typically when we talk about Valentine's Day, we discuss relationship love.

Don't feel like reading, watch the video.

But instead of focusing on relationships I wanted to focus on the love of Christ. The constant never changing love of Christ Jesus. There is no greater love than the love of Christ.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 ESV

If you have ever read any book in the Old Testament, you begin to recognize the significance of Christ. The Old Testament will help you have more gratitude for Christ.

You should praise him for freeing is from being governed by the law. You now are governed by grace because of the crucifixion of Christ.

Reading from the Old Testament and New Testament helps you appreciate the gift of salvation we were granted through Jesus Christ. God's love and Christ's love is exemplified by his sacrifice.

Take a moment to meditate on this, Christ was free of sin. But Christ was willing to pay the ultimate price of death on the cross for our sins.

Christ Jesus died so that we may one day experience eternal life and return to our Lord Elohim. The death of Christ says a lot about the love he has for each one of us.

If you enjoy this post, you may find these Bible Study blog posts helpful when it comes to reading the bible as a beginner:

Christ Jesus death also speaks to the love God has for each one of us. God gave his only son so that we may have a chance at eternal life.

How much God must love us to sacrifice his perfect child. If you are a parent, think about if you would be willing to sacrifice your child for others.

I don't know about you. But my answer as a parent of two kids. Would surely be no. There is just no one on this earth that I would be willing to sacrifice my child for.

Download the 14 Bible Verses on the Love of Christ for Valentine's Day bible reading plan.

If you think about if Jesus were your child and you were making the decision to sacrifice them. Then you understand the magnitudes of God's sacrifice.

Even if you don't read the entire bible reading plan, I encourage you to take a moment to read a few of the verses. I want to challenge you to cherish these verses and be grateful for the love of Christ this Valentine's Day.

14 Bible Verses on the Love of Christ for Valentine's Day

10 things that God say I am

April 07, 2021
21 days of verses to remind you who you are. affirmations | encouragement verses scriptures | faith verses scriptures encouragement | #bible #bibleverse #encouragement #redeemed #blessed #strong #beloved

All so often on this blog I create resources on this blog to help me in my own spiritual journey. Every time you all respond or visit these post often I am so surprised.

This post is just a simple reminder of who God says you are. Though this post was originally published in April 25, 2019 it is one of my most popular blog post. I'm thrilled to have confirmation that I am not the only one who needs the reminder.

During this COVID-19 pandemic I found myself needing these reminder even more. There were so many unknown when the crisis began and I still think there is a lot of information we will not know for years to come. Which is why I found myself leaning on this verses from Psalm 91.
Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge— no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. Psalm 91: 9-10 ESV
I pray that during this pandemic you and your family are safe, healthy, and creating a stronger relationship with Christ.

I often remind myself of the plagues, famine, and violence that occurred in the bible and it helps me to remember that I should not be surprise or afraid. If God was with Habakkuk during the invasion by the Chaldean people. He is with us.

There is nothing that we experience on this earth that is a surprise to God. Even more than that there is nothing that occurs that is out of his control.

We just need to wait and trust his timing. Because he will resolve it, that is just the God we serve. A God of perfect timing, mercy, and resolution.

If you are like me and still need a daily reminder that you can carry with you. Then order your Who God says I am scripture card set, 24 cards set with affirmation, scriptures, and prayers.

I am forever thankful for the encouragement from the word, especially on dreary, tough, or chaotic days. Being able to clearly and quickly read how God sees us. Helps us to reaffirms God's word.

This is a reminder that we are worthy children of the Highest God. In times when you're in need of validation, I pray these words to give your life purpose. Because there is no shame in needing a reminder.

I pray these verses to uplift your spirit. God willing it speaks to the part of your soul that needs to hear it most.

1 Verse to Read when you are Weary

November 01, 2019

John 16:33 says that we will all face tribulation. If Jesus himself perfect in all his ways suffered. Then why should you expect that your life should be free of adversity.

Today we will discuss why life is hard, how to overcome difficult times, how to find God strength, and the best bible verse for encouragement when faced with adversity.

Life is Hard

The is no mistaking the fact that life is hard. You can go from the highest of highest to the lowest or lowest within moments.

But the thing that brings me comfort in the moments of weariness. Is recognizing that I am not alone.

Not only is God with me during these difficult times of adversity. But my brothers and sisters in Christ are also faced with hardship.

Just as Christ overcame this world. So shall we.

Overcoming Weariness

I won't pretend there is some magic pill that will cure your weariness. Because there is not.

You and I are different. In that we find comfort during adversity in different things.

Grab your Encouraged Devotional and Journal now!

You may find encouragement in hearing the stories of other's hardship, reading the bible, praying, or reflecting on the hardship that God has already helped you to overcome.

I would like to think that as a woman of faith you recognize that the key to overcoming weariness is God.

If you enjoy this post, you may find these bible study blog post helpful when it comes to finding strength in Christ.

God is your Strength

All who live will experience tribulation without a doubt. But as Christians it is our faith in God almighty that grants us the strength to go on.

Not in my own strength can I handle or carry the hardships I have overcome. Even as I sit here speaking with you I am filled with the sorrow of my past.

It is only the magnificent Glory of God that gives me the strength. He grants us power.

When you look back over the adversity you have faced. Recognizing that you have made it through.

It gives you the courage to continue going forward no matter what obstacles you face. His strength is what you must call on.

Please don't underestimate the power of God. He can and will help you to overcome whatever may come your way.

Bible Verse for Encouragement

This is the verse I turn to when I feel like my life is full of suffering. If you have ever wondered how will I go on after this. Then you must read this verse.

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. Romans 5:3-5 NIV

Affirmation for Encouragement

I wanted to share this affirmation with you as a reminder that your current circumstances won't last forever.

I may have lost. But I am not lost. Because I have you Lord. Lost is simply an intervention. I declare that blessings are coming my way. That this pain is only temporary. Because I am His.

I want to close this post with a short prayer.

Even when life gets hard. You give him the glory, honor, and praise that He deserves. Because He is a worthy God.

Lord we thank you for your strength. For your mercy and your goodness. That Father God even in our adversity you are with us.

Pushing us forward. You are an awesome God. We thank you because we know with you we can overcome all things.

I personally invite you to do this very thing, to find comfort in God, through my Encouraged devotional and journal. 5 Bible Verses to Pray

December 20, 2018

Armor of god | How to Pray | Prayer scriptures | War room ideas | #bibleverse #prayer #prayerrequest

If you are a beginner like me, when you first began to pray regularly you likely realized you didn't have much to say. After you are done asking God to fulfill your hopes and dreams. Then you probably began to thank God for all he has done for you.

But once you get pass asking God for what you need and want. And thanking God for all that he has done. You probably wondering, what else am I suppose to say?

I get it and I am with you. I had no clue what to say either. Once I watched the War Room movie I was left speechless and uncertain. I didn't think I had what it takes to pray.

You may wish that your prayer life was more powerful, eloquent, or confidence. Just remember you don't have to be any of those things for God to hear you.

Prayer by definition is a solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God or an object of worship.

As long as you're talking to God whether it is out loud or in your head. God knows who you are and where you are in your spiritual journey. He is so thankful to have you back in His kingdom.

Just be yourself! Remember just like with anything else the more you pray the better you will be  at praying. If you are ever lost for what to say try praying one or all of these bible verses.

5 Bible Verses to Pray

Proverbs 3:5-7
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.

Psalms 119:10-13
With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Blessed are you, O Lord; teach me your statutes!
With my lips I declare all the rules of your mouth.

As a thank you for reading my blog, you can download your Prayer Journal Journal now - just join the Tribe!

Jeremiah 29:11-14
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.

Hebrews 13:5-6
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear;
what can man do to me?”

James 1:4-6
And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.

Finding Hope in Christ

March 08, 2018

Keeping the faith is one thing. But maintaining hopes during desperate, turbulent, and unbearable times is a completely different situation. Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.

Hope is something you can't fake, you either have it or you don't. But hope is easier to gain than you may realize. Being hopeful is a mindset. Once you make the decision to be hopeful and not allow your circumstances to cause you to grow weary you gain power over your life.

Who the Bible say you Are

We have a tendency to allow life and temporary circumstances to tell us who we are. I do not know why but for some reason it is easier for us to believe we are inferior rather than believe we are His chosen people. The word says simply because we believe in the Lord and Jesus our Christ in Savior we a favored.

Colossians 3:12 says God's chosen people are holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.

No where in there does it says we were meant to be normal, suppressed, or broken. My point is when you read the word and get to know who you are through the word. Your hope and your faith becomes impenetrable.

When you know the word for yourself you don't relay on what your Mom, boss, or even pastor says about you. You have read it and you know it for yourself. No one can take that from you.

Finding Hope in Christ

When I'm down and Christ is what gives me hope. Knowing He is the highest God and that nothing can triumph against Him. In those moments when it seems likes there may not be enough to pay for all we need.

Even though I may want to worry, I simply can't. Because I can remember the times when God has done more in my life with far less than what I have currently. There may very well be times when I don't have everything I want but I always have everything I need.

I made the decision that I was going to dwell in his shadow, hold his words to my heart, and live a life of excellence every day. It's not always easy or fun but I'm so grateful. Lord knows I don't to know where I would be without the sacrifices of Christ Jesus.

How to Stop Worrying

My husband ask me once, how can you not worry, why do you never seem to be stressed out, like do you just not care. I honestly can say God has just blessed so much even before I really knew who He was. That in my heart and spirit I always rest assured that he'll get me through anything if I just believe that He is everything the Bible says He is.

I am always in my own head, in my own thoughts, and thinking about my life experiences. Which allows me to stay in touch with the things I've been through. It easy to trust in God when you have a point of reference.

See I already know his track record, I am fully aware that my failures were my own. When I allowed myself to run wild with my own desires and ignore God is when I fell the hardest. I had to grow up, recognize, and take responsibility for the bad things that happened because I turned my back on God and thought 'I got this.'

15 Verses & Quotes for Christians

August 30, 2017

As women sometimes we feel as though we have to carry the weight of the world. We are constantly juggling so many things. We're trying to be faithful stewards, good women, goal oriented, wives, and mothers sometimes juggling it all causes us to be less than excellent.

My major takeaway this year is if I just focus all of my energy on being a faithful steward of God everything else will fall into place. God will give me the wisdom necessary to discern what goals to prioritize and help me to juggle my responsibilities as a Wife, Sister, and Aunt.

1. Hebrews 12:1 Focus on your Faith

Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.

2. James 4:6-10 Humility enables you to Recognize you need God

God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

3. John 15:7-8 Live by God word and He will Fulfill you

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.

4. James 1:5 Seek God's Wisdom

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

5. Proverbs 31:10-18 A Women who Fears the Lord

An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands. She is like the ships of the merchant; she brings her food from afar. She rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household and portions for her maidens. She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard. She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong. She perceives that her merchandise is profitable.

6. Susan L. Taylor

Seeds of Faith are always within us; sometimes it takes a crisis to nourish and encourage their growth.

7. Lisa Bevere

Authority & power come from knowing WHOSE you are & WHAT He is capable of doing. You, beloved, are a daughter of the King who works wonders.

8. Bishop Jakes

God anoints you for trouble. Put the whole armor of God before going to work. Don't let your environment get inside of you. You should influence it, not let it influence you.

9. Kim Jones-Pothier

Whenever you feel unloved, unimportant, or insecure, remember to whom you belong. Ephesians 2:19-22

10. Joel Osteen

When every voice says it’s not going to happen, go back and replay your victories, relive the times God made a way.

11. Victoria Osteen

When God is the center, everything else falls into place.

12. Sarah Jakes Roberts

Nothing has happened to you that God can't use to restore you.

13. Kirk Franklin

Instead of scaring people into hell, let's love them into Heaven.

14. Kaitlyn Hiltz

God can use even our most off-course of moments, to stretch and sanctify us, demonstrating his might and mercy.

15. Elyse Murphy Roberson

Following our feelings is one of the most effective tools the enemy uses on us.

10 Bible Verses for a Healing Heart

August 02, 2017

As of lately it feels like our family is going through the trials of Job. I have been trying to keep to myself about it because I find that when I talk openly about what I'm going through I just find myself soaking. That's the opposite of what I need in this moment.

But everything in me is telling me to share as I struggle. I know I'm not alone. But Lord knows this is not easy for me in the least.

If you can please pray for my family. I'm trying to be more honest and real with you in 2019. Life isn't always picture perfect - at least not for me.

But what even in all that we're going through I still believe that we are am blessed. I recognize there is always someone going through a more difficult time.

Maybe they haven't yet found the salvation that lies in Christ. Or maybe their basic needs often go unmet. No matter what there struggle maybe. I recognize I have a lot to be thankful for.
I love the Lord , because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live. Psalms 116:1‭-‬2 ESV

Every moment where I find myself feeling weak. I just pray. I remind myself of His promises. I ask Him to enlarge my faith.

In the midst of fasting and prayer the Holy Spirit moved me to read Psalm 116. I kid you not I just about fell out of my seat. I just couldn't believe God was speaking to me so clearly.

I was so humbled recognizing that he was talking me. The ship wreck of a mess that I am. I'm often super composed in the midst of chaos. But on the inside I'm usually falling apart.

My spirit is weeping. My soul is weary. And the only thing holding me up physically is the strength I have found in the word - I kid you not.

I know this test has a purpose. I already see the change that it has had on my family. And for that I am beyond grateful.
