Finding Your God Given Purpose

June 20, 2019
finding your purpose god | Godly women | how to find your passion | finding yourself | inner peace #purpose

I try not to bore you with my blogging struggles. If you're not a blogger then you may not understand. But the blogging atmosphere is filled with the chatter of 6 figure income and hundred-dollar courses that will help you get there.

The amount of information about blogging can be overwhelming. Eventually, you don't want to read another blogging post. Because you don't know if it's genuine or just another sales pitch.

When I quit my job I thought making a full-time income blogging would be a no-brainer. Build it and they will come.

If you enjoy this post, you may find these Purpose blog posts helpful when it comes to finding your God-Given Purpose.
Pray about it and God will fix it. Right? Well, that wasn't the case.

I even tried giving God an ultimatum. Because quite honestly I was tired of reading other people's success stories. Because I wanted to be a success story.

I was ready to quit.

But after a pep talk from my husband I was reminded of why I started this in the first place. I just wanted an outlet. I wanted to have a voice.

After several come to Jesus moment. I began to authentically share my spiritual journey. And I finally felt like my blog was being received.

People were enjoying what I had to say. And I was actually helping women in their spiritual journey.

It was the confirmation I had been asking God for. But I still wasn't making money. It made me realize that I equated success to making money.

I realized I needed to make a change. If I was going to see my blog truly thrive I needed to refocus on God.

I heard a sermon that said sometimes failure is just a test. It's a test to see if you will keep going after the purpose you believe God placed on your heart.

I decided that I needed to commit to my blog because it's my purpose. But most of all, I needed to acknowledge God for all he was already doing for me. I began to pray, asking God to show me the way.

Micah 6:16 ESV says, You shall eat, but not be satisfied, and there shall be hunger within you; you shall put away, but not preserve, and what you preserve I will give to the sword.

I realized my hunger was misdirected. I was looking for worldly validation, chasing money.

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” - Hebrews 13:5

When I needed to be chasing God's word. Don't be distracted by the world. Get lost in the word. Seek out the scripture and pray.

Embracing Your Past to Brighten Your Future

Often times as we evolve, change, and elevate we try to forget who we once were. We try to hide it. Bury it and hope no one digs it up. We try to disguise it with fancy words and pretty clothes in hopes that no one recognizes the truth. Don't think that your going to evolve right over your past.

5 Benefits of Rekindling your Relationship with God

June 07, 2017

Sometimes we are so wrapped up in living we forget there is more to life than bills, careers, food, and family. Spirituality and faith are important to our existence and ability to find our life direction.

Faith can help redirect us to our rightful destiny. Women of spirituality find their happiness is a benefit of prioritizing their spirituality. Spirituality keeps us grounded, balanced, and feeds our soul with a greater purpose.

Reduce Stress
Your belief in something greater than yourself reminds you that your current circumstance are just that. You recognize obstacles were created to be overcome. Obstacles are just a detour on your journey of purpose.

When you begin to really trust God you give your earthly burdens over to him. Recognize he is in total control. Most of all your thankful, to not have to spend your days worrying.

Re-Energize your creativity
Stop worrying about what the experts and influencers' say. If your like me you banged your head on the desk wondering why that tip didn't work for you or panicking because you couldn't afford the $1,000 course that would take your business from 0 to $100,000. Now because you've tried everything but can't seem to make traction your creativity drained.

When you let all that go and begin to walk in your steps, allow your ideas to flow naturally, and seek simple actionable advice when needed for very specific things. You will find your ideas begin to naturally connect. Most of all, understand that God can do all things.

If he wants you to have a $100,000 business tomorrow he will give it to you no matter what tips you didn't follow, who else is already well known in the market, and without anyone backing you.

The only back you need is King Jesus, don't let these people have you fooled. Have faith and let your need to be in control go. This will free you! Follow the path God has already made for you, just remember it may not be exactly as you imagined.

Refocus on Purpose
When you find yourself by digging deep into what it means to be a Christian. You start to think what can I do to better this world and inspire others to embark on a meaningful spiritual journey.

You begin to think less about how you can get ahead. Instead you start to think how can you use what God has given you (i.e. experience, education, skills, or natural abilities) to enhance the lives of others.

Conquer your fears
I will tell you first hand I hated the idea of contacting people and asking them to help me promote my business. Ditch your pride and stand tall in your belief. Stop worrying, start believing your his favorite, and trust him. Whatever God has for you is for you and only you.

So put forth the effort don't sit around waiting on him to do all the heavy lifting show he you believe and try. We all have our seasons of waiting and break though but you have to have faith during both. Believe me you can't begin to imagine what he has in store for you.

Regain your focus
Our earthly lives don't last forever. While your here make sure you spend time with the people you care about. Encourage and love everyone you meet. Your spiritual journey will help you recognize what is important in life.  Which is to wholeheartedly seek God with our entire being.

How to Stop Fighting and Move on

April 19, 2017

This is something I know of all too well. When there is an issue at hand that I don’t want to deal with or address, I typically just let it go & move on. But we all know that is about 50% true. It is darn near impossible to forget the event or problem, and move on from them free or clear without any returning or fleeting thought.

4 Things Distracting You from your Life Purpose

December 14, 2016

Let’s be honest, no one else can determine your life purpose for you. What I can tell you for sure, is if you allow others to define your life’s purpose you will never live your life. As children our decisions our guided by our parents and surroundings.

Often times we do what is expected of us and develop our purpose based on what we believe others want for us. Many people do find fulfillment following in their families footstep, while others break loose and run in the other direction.

The Death of the American Dream

September 09, 2016

Does the American Dream still exist? I would say kind of. The entire world climate has changed drastically since the concept of the American Dream was created. In the 21st century, the American Dream has become a fallacy that people aspire to. Similar to keeping up with The Jones or in today's world The Kardashian.

25 Powerful Authentic Living Blogs

August 17, 2016

Recently a reader asked me where she could find more tips on intentional living. So I thought it would be great to share 25 intentional living blogs for every audience.

What is intentional living?
According to Wikipedia, it is a lifestyle based on an individual or group's conscious attempts to live according to their values and beliefs. These can include lifestyles based on religious or ethical values, as well as coaching, personal transformation, and leadership training. My personal definition of intentional living is living each day with purpose and actions will shape the legacy on seek to leave the world.

Why should you live intentionally?

  • Life is short!
  • Create a meaningful legacy
  • Achieve happiness and fulfillment
  • A life without purpose is meaningless

How to Embrace Change Even If You are Scared

June 23, 2016

We all have our flaws. Sometimes those flaws can work in your favor and sometimes they can be detrimental to your growth. One of my flaws is being a control freak that can not stand change. My flaw manifests itself in every part of my life personally, professionally, and especially in relationships. I will definitely say I have grown enough to recognize my flaw. But I did not realize the role it played on my body physically. As a result, I like so many others suffer from anxiety which typically manifests itself through panic attacks.

Life's Purpose: I share my Journal for the First Time

June 02, 2016
This post contains affiliate links which may generate a revenue for ChellBee when a purchase is made. You can read more on my FAQ page.

What is your life's purpose?

I have been putting off journaling lately. Whenever my pen meets paper, water works follow. Today I needed to post on social media so I decided to share a quote from my book of positive quotes. Which made me realize how far I have come.

A month ago I was whining and complaining. Life just was not giving me my way. Lately, friends of mine have noticed the change in me. I no longer sweat the small stuff. People may irritate or frustrate me but I know everyday petty things are irrelevant to what God has planned for me. I'm just ready to help people change their lives and their outlook. I don't know how many ways I can say life is too short!

Being surrounded by death since childhood taught me to value life. I have witnessed time and time again that it is not guaranteed (to anyone no matter the age). So, therefore, I am dedicated to making something amazing happen.

I just want to do God's will, I believe I can do that by helping others be themselves and share their given talents whatever that maybe. Everyone needs encouragement, I am ready and willing to do just that for whoever needs it. So I guess if I had to answer the question I posed to my subscribers. What are you willing to die for? ( i.e. What do you believe is your life purpose)

I am willing to die, to help women and men to see themselves. Understand they are perfect in every way. Push them to share who they are with the world. Help them understand that sharing means helping others along the way. Sometimes I feel like we live in a world filled with imitators and it so sad. People are scared to be who they are. Scared to know them. Scared to be by themselves.

Time and time again I have watched multiple people spiral out of control because they are running away from themselves. My biggest question is where do I start, how do I make a positive change on something that has made such a large negative impact. I have watched my own mother struggle with this most of her life. Scared to be who she is because she doesn't feel worthy.

To be honest I'm sure watching her is part of the reason I am so passionate about the topic. Going through the same thing also helped fuel my passion. Choosing to hide behind drinking, partying, and men are still running.

If you are ever afraid to speak you mind, laugh loud (that from the gut laugh), or share your past. Something is wrong. You have to be willing to shout your sorrows, your pains, and your triumphs from the mountain top. Because we not only learn through our own experiences but also the experiences of others.

Start Journaling With Me!

Dream Big and Be Bold: How to Overcome Obstacles

November 16, 2015

In my personal journey, the steps I need to take to get to where I am going aren’t written on a piece of paper and here’s why. I can make the meanest to do list, but my head won’t allow me to get any of those things done. I am a perfectionist, so my plans always spiral into this endless string of what more can be done to make things that much better. What I have come to recognize is that it is just fear that holds me back. If you’re the same way, then stay tuned...
