First, let me start by saying if you have an iPhone you may want to go read another blog post because this app is only available on Androids. This is not a sponsored or affiliate post it is simply just me gushing about how much I love the Bright To-Do app. I am a girl who lives and dies by a to-do list which very well maybe why I love this app so much.
Here’s what I love:
- It's 100% free
- No ads
- Create Recurring Habits
- Create Daily To-Do List
- Create Long Term Goals using with Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly To-Do List
- Calendar View which displays your for full schedule
- Time Notification Reminder option for every task
- Categorize your task with Colors
- Connect to Google Calendar - pull any appointments or task you may have on your calendar
- Backup or Restore your Content on Google Drive
What I don’t love:
- Not a notes section
- Available on app only, there's no desktop option.
Honorable mentions:
In June, I started using Bright To-Do instead of my Staples Arc Planner. I grew tired of having to write, rewrite, and carry multiple notebooks to organize and create my to do list. Now I know that may sound crazy but there are days when my priorities change or I don't complete everything on my to-do list. When that happens I have to basically transpose the task to another day, which is aggravating and time consuming.
If your a creative you can probably relate because your priorities change from day to day. You may have a plan for the week but if you have a opportunity arise you likely begin to rethink your plan and rearrange your schedule accordingly. Doing this by hand on paper day by day began to take up too much time. I tried 3 different apps before finding and falling in love with the Bright To-do which was by far the best option.
It took me about 3 hours to transfer over my entire schedule from my planner. As I do batch all my content therefore I had to move my batch plan for June-December 2017 from my planner to the app. I also added my yearly goals, monthly goals, and habits. I am a complete plan nerd so I likely had more content to move than most people, which is fine by me. I was happily surprised when I signed in with Google and seen my Google Calendar has been syncing in automatically. What digital planning tools do you use?
