Dream Big and Be Bold: Determination and Dreams
Someone recently told me to dream big and be bold. Little did I know he ignited a fire in me that could not be blown out. I am a workaholic by nature. Anything I do, I give it 110%. I have been working since I was 14 years old. I can’t count how much money I have made other people, but if I had to guess it would be over 100 million dollars.
Regardless of how I may feel about working a 9-5, I don’t let that stop me from giving my all at work. Recently one of my coworkers told me that, she was amazed by my work ethic and that I could do anything because of my determination (she has only been working with me for a few weeks). I know most people would be happy about receiving such a compliment. But it really struck a nerve with me, why was I working for someone else?
I was raised (like so many others) by hard working parents that taught me to work hard, get my education, and get a good job. So that’s exactly what I did. Although I am thankful for my parents and education, there are certain things they didn’t teach me. Like the importance of financial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and living life to the fullest. After reading Rich Dad Poor Dad and spending time with entrepreneurial spirited individuals I realized I was meant for greatness and I devised a plan to leave my 9-5 and build my own empire.
Life is too short! Don’t limit yourself to living an ordinary life. We all have a greater purpose. The world is waiting for us to share our natural talents. Please understand that I recognize that everyone doesn’t want to own a business. But you have to take the time to understand where you are today, where you want to be tomorrow, and what steps you need to take to get there. We all deserve to be happy and enjoy life to the fullest!
